It's not a problem. You'd just put the servo tape on different sides of the speed controller.
Or if you run the Pro RTC class, it uses 2S (2 cell) with a 17.5 motor and you can use a tiny $55...

Yep, it works great. I'd recommend softer side springs. Most importantly, keep the speedo where it should be. Stand it up vertically if you have to. That is much better than putting it on the right...

This can be a lot of things, but theoretically, you'd want thinner side shock oil. Continuing to turn after the corner can caused by the car staying leaned over too long after the corner. Thinner oil...

It doesn't matter what side shock you run. Length is the same. Fully extended pivot point to pivot point is 3.00".
AE oil is usually 30-35wt. Silvas are usually 70-80wt for the same feel.

When someone says 10k, it's a machining term. It's an easy way to write 10 thousandth's of an inch (aka "10 thou"). So 315k (315 thou) = .315".

June 24th, 2015, 07:21 PM
AE shocks are used by most of the top drivers, but it's a personal preference. Instead of thinking of it like, which is better, think of it more like, don't change a known setup if you don't have...
