    ESC for blinky class's

Hey have any of you guys noticed a difference in power/laptimes from running one ESC over another in 17.5 supertruck and 13.5 blinky mode class's? I have been running a Hobbywing and been happy with it so far, but I am not sure how much I might be losing by not running a receiver pack, any thoughts?

I've only run an impact in 13.5 spec, but will be trying a mamba next week, I'll report back with what I find.

Have not heard much on the orca. Afraid to try it because of the price. I run tekin gen 2 and think I made a critical mistake. That's racing though when your new you learn real fast to pay attention to the fast guys and what they run.

The price is steap on the Orca, but in my opinion, there are only 3 Blinky ESCs, the Orca VX3, the MMP 1 cell or the original Tekin RS. The VX3 weighs a bit but that is easy to take care of!

Going to try the orca next. Our club follows The BRL rules for spec. That means only 13.5 thunder power motors.

When I tested the Orca to the MMP 1 Cell on the dyno, I saw an average RPM increase through out the run, and saw less dips in the RPM, so the VX3 is delivering power more effectively and consistently then the MMP 1cell.

Thank you for the info. That is awesome, testing on the dyno. I have ran the MMP one cell but have had issues with taking off so switched back to the rs pro. I need a new esc and you made my decision. Tthanx again.

Have not heard much on the orca. Reluctant to attempt it as a result of the cost. I run tekin gen 2 and think I committed a basic error. That is dashing however when your new you catch on quickly to focus on the quick folks and what they run.
