    tour spec timing/rotor/roll out

Prepping for crc- I only have 110' track for testing- My Putnam motor is set at 18 on the endbell, it has 12.4 12.6 12.4 on the can and 1568/1572 on the rotor. On my track I am rolling around a 4.10 most days. What changes should I be looking at for this race? same timing more gear? more timing? less rotor/more timing?

    thanks

depending if the track gains bite... id roll it out 4.40 - 4.50... timing depends on grip...

high bite tracks can handle more timing

    low bite track less timing

If the track is 120' straight is there any calculation to figure rollout? Or get close? Or any ft' straightaway for that matter?

The rollout mentioned above is probably going to be about right for you. You might be even higher than 4.50 since your track is slightly bigger. General rules of thumbs: More motor windings = more rollout. A 21.5 motor for example would need a lot of rollout, like 5.50". A 3.5 motor for Open Mod would be 2.00" or less. Blinky classes tend to benefit from stronger gauss ratings on the rotor.

I have not heard of anyone using the length of the straights in their math to help calculate the rollout.
